Don is trained and qualified to provide DOT SAP Evaluations and Clearinghouse compliance. He is licensed in the State of Nebraska as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC #363). His SAP qualification training was completed through the Blair Consulting Group, and the SAP qualification exam was administered by the National Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC).
How The SAP Process Works:
1. After violation, a referral is made to a SAP Provider.
2. Set appointment by choosing Don Gillespie as your SAP on the Clearinghouse.
3. The SAP Evaluation consists of Administer testing tools, including the Addiction Severity Index (ASI) and the Substance Abuse Subtle Screening Inventory (SASSI), and gather social history.
4. Recommend appropriate level of care.
5. Perform related case management and care coordination. After recommended service are completed and verified by provider, a Follow Up Evaluation is scheduled.
6. Once Follow Up session is completed , a Follow Up Letter will be sent to employer or CTPA for a Return to Duty Test.
7. Follow-up testing plan included along with Aftercare recommendations.
